Manti Te'o Speaks: 'I Wasn't Faking It'

01/19/2013 at 08:45 AM EST

Notre Dame linebacker Manti Te'o has broken his silence on the topic of the his "dead" girlfriend, telling ESPN Friday night that he played no part in the bizarre hoax.

"I wasn't faking it," the star athlete, 21, told the sports cable network's Jeremy Schapp during the 2½-hour, off-camera interview. (Te'o's comments, which were all in front of his lawyer, were later released by ESPN.) "I wasn't part of this."

Te'o did admit, however, that he "tailored" his tales so that others would assume he had "met her before she passed away."

He also said one of three people who perpetrated the prank – Te'o identified him as Ronaiah Tuiasosopo, a 22-year-old acquaintance from California, along with one other man and a woman – contacted him two days ago and apologized.

"When [people] hear the facts, they'll know," Te'o said. "They'll know that there is no way that I could be part of this."

Te'o told Schapp that he and Kekua never met face-to-face, and whenever he attempted to contact her via Skype and videophone calls, the picture was blocked. Planned meetings in Los Angeles and Hawaii always fell apart because she would cancel at the last minute or else send others in her place.

"My relationship with Lennay wasn't a four-year relationship," Te'o said. "There were blocks and times and periods in which we would talk and then it would end."

At another point, he said, "She told me her dad passed away, and I was there. I was that shoulder to cry on. And I kind of just naturally cared for the person. And so our relationship kind of took another level. But not the kind of exclusive level yet."

He further said that he lied to his own father about having met her, and from there the story snowballed, as Te'o apparently told others the same story.

After being informed in early September that Kekua had died of leukemia, Te'o said he continued to keep up the story about her publicly because he was uncomfortable admitting the two had never met in person.

"That goes back to what I did with my dad. I knew that. I even knew that it was crazy that I was with somebody that I didn't meet," he said. "So I kind of tailored my stories to have people think that, yeah, he met her before she passed away."

What's on the gift list when party-lover Prince Harry comes to visit you? Reach for the rum.

For the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge? How about matching bathrobes from a fabled hotel.

These are just some of the gifts received last year by the Princes and Kate during their travels on behalf of Queen Elizabeth. (For the full list, click here.)

While William, 30, was given a prized dagger by the King of Malaysia, he and Kate were handed robes by the historic Raffles Hotel in Singapore.

Gifts for Kate, 31, tended to be fashion choices, including eight handbags or clutch bags that came during the couple's tour of southeast Asia,. She was also presented with sarongs in the Solomon Islands, and a sari in Malaysia.

During his March visit to Brazil and the Caribbean, Harry, 28, was given Brazilian soccer shirts, local liquor and, in the Bahamas, a magnifying glass. The Governor of Rio handed him a Beatles CD and a book.

And, should he want to pimp up his ride back home, he can always display the personalized license plate saying "HARRY" that he received while he toured Brazil. You go, Harry.

Rick Harrison has gone from pawning to planning.

After months of going back and forth, the Pawn Stars ringleader and his fiancée, Deanna Burditt, have finally set a date for their wedding: July 21.

But the date is just the beginning for Harrison, 47, who tells PEOPLE, "She sticking me with all the planning!"

The nuptials – initially planned for Las Vegas – will now take place at the Ritz Carlton in Southern California's Laguna Beach.

"It will be a lot of friends and family," Harrison said while attending Wednesday night's opening of Wynn Las Vegas's Andrea's. "It started off with about 40 people and it's well over 100 people now. You know how those things go."

Aside from the guest count close to being finalized, Harrison said Danny Koker of the History Channel's Counting Cars will become an ordained minister and marry the couple, and Harrison's Pawn Stars costar Chumlee is set to be the ring bearer.

"I can't make that up," he said. "I just had no idea there was so much involved. I just thought you got a cake, had a party, buy a keg. But we're getting it done."

Jessica Simpson: Second Pregnancy Was a Shock, Much Different Than First

Jessica Simpson: Second Pregnancy Was a Shock
Paul Drinkwater/NBC

Jessica Simpson says she was channeling a certain curvaceous reality star when she posted for a bikini bump self-portrait on Twitter during her Christmas holiday in Hawaii.

“I felt really hot, and I thought I deserved a Kim Kardashian moment, you know? I was really feeling it, like, ‘Oh, my bump looks cute. I’m going to share that,’” the Fashion Star mentor quipped during an appearance on Tuesday’s Tonight Show with Jay Leno.

But Simpson, 32, says her second pregnancy has been anything but a feel-good time. She’s been nauseated and not having the same sort of cravings as when she was expecting daughter Maxwell Drew, who’s now 8 months old and beginning to crawl.

“I’ve been really, really sick so I can’t wait to actually be able to crave something like I did in my first pregnancy,” the singer and actress explains. “I’m due in the summer so I still have a ways to go — hopefully I start feeling better.”

That morning sickness may be a good thing for the Weight Watchers spokeswoman. Simpson says she gained “a lot more” than her doctors recommended the first go-round, but this time she hopes to eat healthier and not go too crazy.

“I didn’t really make any healthy, good decisions,” she says of her first pregnancy. “The last time I ate everything in sight. I was really happy to be pregnant and I just didn’t even step on the scale. I was the person who turned around and said, ‘Just don’t tell me, I’m having fun.’”

“I guess I just didn’t realize you could gain that much weight that quickly,” Simpson explains. “I had fun doing it but once I had Maxwell I realized that it all wasn’t water weight and I had to really work hard. In four months I lost over 50 pounds.”

The second pregnancy, she added, was not planned and surprised both her and fiancé Eric Johnson, whom she joked was “really proud” that it happened all over again so quickly.

“Apparently it was a part of God’s plan for my life,” Simpson says with a laugh. “I was extremely shocked. I was shocked because I was going through a lot of hormonal changes trying to get back to the old, vibrant Jessica. And you know, it was kind of like a one-night stand. And it happened … all over again!”

Her much-anticipated wedding, she says, just keeps getting pushed back.

“We’ve had two different wedding dates, but he keeps knocking me up,” Simpson wisecracks. “I’m doing it very backwards, I know! I’ll just keep my legs crossed this time.”

Lance Armstrong Admits Doping, Says Oprah Winfrey

01/15/2013 at 08:30 AM EST

Oprah Winfrey and Lance Armstrong

After being stripped of his seven Tour de France titles last August – and apparently lying in interviews for more than a decade – Lance Armstrong has admitted to using performance-enhancing drugs to win his multiple cycling championships, CBS News confirmed.

Armstrong, 41, made the personal confession to Oprah Winfrey in an interview to air over two nights starting Thursday on her OWN network, Winfrey announced Tuesday morning.

Appearing on CBS This Morning in what was basically a tease for her interview, Winfrey called her sit-down with the disgraced athlete "the biggest interview I've ever done," adding, "I would say he didn't come clean in the manner I expected."

She did say, however, she "was satisfied" and "riveted by some of his answers" to her 112 prepared questions.

Winfrey offered no specifics of what he said, other than to say that after about 90 minutes, while they were taking a break, Armstrong asked her, "Will there be a point where you lighten up?"

Asked by Eary Show's Charlie Rose if she found Armstrong "contrite," Winfrey did say he was "forthcoming," but "I choose not to characterize. I would prefer people make their own decisions."

She did admit he was "truthful, serious [and] certainly had prepared himself for this moment."

As for "why now," Winfrey said, "He was just ready," and she cited the mounting pressure upon Armstrong in the past weeks, which had "just increased in intensity."

Immediately following her interview with Armstrong, which took place Monday at the Austin, Texas, Four Season Hotel, Winfrey Tweeted: "Just wrapped with @lancearmstrong More than 2 1/2 hours . He came READY!" On CBS This Morning, she said he came with a small group of people, but "we did not allow the lawyers in the room."

The interview reportedly followed Armstrong's appearance at his Livestrong cancer charity offices in Austin, where he was said to have apologized to the 100 people on the staff.

There are also reports that Armstrong is in talks to return a portion of the millions of dollars in taxpayer money received by his former team, U.S. Postal Service, and that he may be willing to name others who used performance-enhancers.

In addition, CBS News reports that senior Justice Department officials have suggested that the government join a lawsuit filed by a former Postal Team member accusing Armstrong of defrauding the federal government.

After giving close friend Mel Gibson a shout-out in her moving speech at the Golden Globes on Sunday night, Jodie Foster's Beaver costar is returning the love.

"I kiss the ground she walks on," the actor, 57, told PEOPLE at the InStyle/Warner Brothers after party. "I adore her."

The double Oscar-winning actress, 50, who has supported Gibson through his dark times, brought many in the ballroom to tears with her emotional speech in which she opened up about her personal life, including her sexuality.

"If you had to fight for a life that felt real and honest and normal against all odds, than maybe you too would value privacy above all else," said Foster, who has been in the spotlight since she was 3.

"I thought [her speech] was great," he said. "I love her."

Gibson, who called his longtime friend's support of him "so flattering," shared why he thought Foster was so deserving of the Cecil B. DeMille Award and outpouring of support at her revelation.

"Because she's real," he said simply.

What to Watch and What to Skip on TV in Super Busy January

01/13/2013 at 08:45 AM EST

Timothy Olyphant in Justified; AnnaSophia Robb in The Carrie Diaries

Prashant Gupta/FX; Eric Liebowitz/Warner Bros.

Don't worry, America. The networks didn't forget you over the holidays – they were just waiting for the new year to stuff their presents down the chimney.

This year, midseason starts with an extremely bustling January that brings back established hits, including American Idol and Justified, and introduces new series such as The Carrie Diaries.

Here's a quick rundown of which ones to watch – and which ones to skip. No re-gifting!

DOWNTON ABBEY (PBS Masterpiece): Yes
The snob appeal of British actors wearing expensive clothes in rooms larger than a South Beach condo is undeniably one reason for the popularity of this manor-house soap opera. But the period setting also allows us to draw in much more closely to these aristocrats and their servants. No one has the modern convenience of text-messaging: If bad news arrives at dinner, everyone is forced to remain seated and digest the calamity along with the port and cheeses. And the news in this superb third season is often very, very bad. (Smith, by the way, has a remarkable scene as old matriarch Viola; grief-stricken, she enters the house, and every cautious step is that of a woman who has seen many people, young and old, precede her into the grave.)

THE CARRIE DIARIES (CW): No
A great concept – baby Sex and the City – generated a lot of buzz when the network announced this comedy-drama about Carrie Bradshaw as a teenager in 1984. But young Carrie (AnnaSophia Robb) is merely a nice suburban girl who inherits a funky wardrobe from her dead mother. You can say a lot of things about '80s style, but it wasn't maudlin, and it wasn't a hand-me-down.

JUSTIFIED (FX): Yes
A casting miracle: Put a wide-brimmed Western hat on handsome Timothy Olyphant's head, hang a holster around his lean hips – and dang if you don't have an iconic character, just like that. U.S. Marshal Raylan Givens pursues criminals who seem to become more eccentrically loathsome with each season, but Olyphant’s cool, unmannered performance is still what makes it all work.

1600 PENN (NBC): No, no, no
A sitcom about a First Family that doesn't know what to do about its excruciatingly immature First Son, Skip (Josh Gad). He runs, whirls, dances and skips around the White House causing mischief and somehow also solving problems. Don't you love him? I kept wishing he would gambol too close to the edge of the fiscal cliff.

SCANDAL (ABC): Yes
With great regret, I have taken my Revenge obsession and transferred it to this galloping Thursday-night melodrama from Grey's Anatomy creator Shonda Rhimes. Kerry Washington (Django Unchained) is a political fixer who has a thing for the president (Tony Goldwyn). In an ideal world, they would be married and hosting the Kennedy Center Honors and appearing together on The View. Instead, poor Kerry must brave one crisis after another. It's all nonsense ... and totally addictive.

DECEPTION (NBC): No
Like Scandal, like Revenge, but inert and without conviction. You could stage a more compelling drama by making your pancakes pretend to talk to the sausages.

GIRLS (HBO): Sure
This season is not as radically fresh as season 1, but it gets better – and then turns brilliant – as it goes. I think I want to be Zosia Mamet, who plays Shoshanna Shapiro.

AMERICAN IDOL (FOX): Uh-huh
The new season introduces a revamped panel, adding Mariah Carey, Nicki Minaj and Keith Urban along with the Dawg. You'll tune in for the hair and makeup, and maybe stay for the singing.

THE FOLLOWING (FOX): Yes, but with an advisory
An intense and unnerving new crime drama about an ingenious serial killer (James Purefoy) who doesn't do his own murders. Not for young viewers or Skip.

BUCKWILD (MTV): Seriously?
Moonshine distillation of Jersey Shore with a hint of Here Come Honey Boo Boo and the kick of neither.

The high-profile couple, who connected in November and then were seen cuddling and kissing from New York to the Caribbean to the ski slopes, reportedly called it quits after a Virgin Island trip went sour.

WowBut it wasn't all LOLs for Swift this week. Emerging from her break-up with Styles, she made a bold statement on the People's Choice Awards red carpet. Kate's Official Portrait Unveiled

01/11/2013 at 08:40 AM EST

From left: artist Paul Emsley, the Duchess and Duke of Cambridge

The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge had an art outing early Friday – for the unveiling of her official portrait.

And they were not alone. Kate's parents and siblings also made the breakfast trip to the National Portrait Gallery – the Duchess's first official outing since she handed out awards at a sports honors evening in December.

Her reaction to her portrait? "I thought it was brilliant," Kate, who showed no sign of a baby bump in her burgundy Whistles dress, said at the reception.

She also thanked artist Paul Emsley, a Glasgow-born, South African-raised painter, while William pronounced the canvas – which happens to be located in the same gallery as a rendering of a naked David Beckham (it will soon be moved elsewhere) – "absolutely beautiful"

Kate sat for Emsley in two sittings last May and June, both at his studio in Bradford-upon-Avon, southwest England, and at Kensington Palace. Working from photographs he took, he spent 3½ months to create the painting.

He says Kate wanted "to convey her natural self as opposed to her official self. I was always aware of the fact that we would use the hair very much as a kind of a frame for the face, and not too much jewelry apart from the earring, to try to create something of her natural warmth, her natural serenity without too much busyness in the portrait."

He told PEOPLE, "If you are working with someone who has whose face is just a lovely face, it's harder to find something in the portrait that gives it some sort of gravitas. In this case I've tried to do that with the smile and the dimples and the shadows around the face."

Director of the National Portrait Gallery Sandy Nairne, called the painting "very direct, simple. Modern contemporary portrait." As for the subject, "She was really positive about it," and, as he told PEOPLE, "She seemed very well, terrific."

It's a Girl for Lily Allen

Lily Allen Welcomes Baby

Cue the lullabies: Lily Allen is a mom — again!

The “Smile” singer and her husband Sam Cooper welcomed her second daughter — and the baby girl shares her special day with rock legends Elvis and David Bowie. Marnie Rose arrived on Jan. 8, according to reports.

The couple — who wed in Gloucestershire, England in June 2011 — are already parents to 1-year-old daughter Ethel Mary.

Her rep declined to confirm the pregnancy in July, but after stepping out several times with a burgeoning belly, no official confirmation was needed when 27-year-old Allen appeared radiant on the red carpet during the British Fashion Awards in November.

On New Year’s Eve, Allen was anxious the tot would emerge soon, Tweeting she was “only planning on spending a few days of [2013] pregnant. Unlike the last 3 years.” And she said she had been sampling curries to try to force labor.

A rep for the singer (who goes by her married name Cooper) didn’t immediately respond to requests for comment or statement, but Allen appeared to acknowledge the news Thursday when she thanked fans, writing, “Quite overwhelmed by all the well wishing going on. THANKYOU everybody x x x”

One of those came from actor friend Charlie Condou, who Tweeted he had a “little cry” when Lily “told me Marnie Rose was born” on his birthday.

Devoted son, quirky leading man – and everyone's favorite fantasy boyfriend.

The "hey girl" Internet obsession, 32, "is an incredibly sweet boyfriend," a Gosling source tells PEOPLE in this week's cover story. He and Mendes, 37, "get along so well because she's not needy or smothering," says another insider. "They just work."

"When you're with him you feel different. He has a magnetic quality – larger than life."

And yes, he knows how to work his quirks – everything from self-designed tattoos to an enduring Disneyland fascination.

"Women love him because he's just kooky," says the insider. "He's definitely in touch with his childlike side."

Jessica Alba: Cash Warren and I Are 'Kindred Spirits'

Jack Osbourne Respectfully Declines More Baby Gifts
Courtesy InStyle

Love may not have struck at first sight for Jessica Alba and Cash Warren, but the pair’s instant connection was enough to last a lifetime.

“I just knew when I met him that I was going to know him forever. It was weird; He instantly felt like family,” the actress, 31, says in InStyle‘s February issue.

“I’d never felt like that with anyone. We got each other. We’re kindred spirits.”

Following their “very, very, very short” run as friends, the couple began dating and eventually tied the knot in 2008 before welcoming daughters Honor Marie, 4½, and Haven Garner, 16 months.

The spark between the sweethearts is still going strong, although Alba admits their idea of romance has certainly undergone changes over the years.

“On a weekend Cash might say, ‘Go get your nails done with a girlfriend. Haven is down for a nap and Honor and I will play. I know you work hard. You deserve some time for yourself,’” she says.

“That, to me, is romantic. He’s saying, ‘You matter,’ and that I’m more than just the mother of the kids or the wife who goes out to events with him.”

Blending their ethnically diverse backgrounds under one roof, the parents have made their home a true family affair, highlighting — and celebrating! — their ancestral roots.

“When Cash and I moved into our family house, we collected hundreds of pictures of our aunties, great aunties, moms and dads, grandmas and grandpas, and sisters and brothers,” Alba shares. “Then we mounted them in the foyer of our home, covering the wall from top to bottom. Our daughters are continually reminded of where they come from.”

Life’s not all play for the mom-of-two; In addition to her acting career and taking care of her girls, the multi-talented mama is also the mastermind behind The Honest Company, her eco-friendly line of home goods she cofounded with Christopher Gavigan.

With such a full plate to balance, the actress has been known to take on a bit more than she can handle.

“Sometimes I can take multitasking to a level of insanity,” Alba explains. “Then all of a sudden the bath is too high and I’ve forgotten to give my daughter the thing she needs for school.”

Fortunately, her family of four has taught Alba how to worry less about the mess-making and more about making the memories.

“Before I had kids, I was very responsible and serious. I used to be all about controlling my environment; Everything had to be just so,” she says. ”Now my idea of perfection is different. You can label bins and have a place for stuff, but when the kids go into the playroom, you’re not going to say, ‘We can’t paint because how are we going to clean it up?’”

Heidi Klum: It's Good to Be Experimental in Bed

01/07/2013 at 09:00 AM EST

Heidi Klum believes in letting out her wild side in between the sheets.

"It's good to make an effort to dress up sometimes – to do things outside of the norm," the fashion mogul, who is currently courting bodyguard Martin Kirsten, tells Marie Claire in its February issue.

"Some people are more experimental in bed and others are more boring. If you are wild and crazy, bring it on so the other person is well aware that you have little devil horns that come out every once in a while."

Klum, 39, who filed for divorce from Seal last April, doesn't understand why people call her split "devastating."

"Did I wish for this to happen to my family? No," she says. "But everyone is healthy. We're moving on with our lives. If someone got [very sick] – god forbid – that would be a real problem. It's not what I wanted. It's not what anyone wanted. Butit's not a real problem."

Although Klum does not seem scarred by her split, she doesn't intend to say, "I do" again.

“I don't think [I'll get married again], no, no," she says. "I wanted to keep the memory of [mine and Seal's] wedding alive every year. That's why I thought it would be fun to get married over and over. But now I don't think it's that important. I'm not angry about anything, but I don’t think I will. Maybe if I'm with someone for 15 or 20 years, and we do it in our old age as a fun thing to do. … But I don't have the urgency anymore."

Another thing the mother of four knows she doesn't want is to become a cougar.

"I can understand why a woman finds a young man attractive, because the truth is that when men get older, their shape changes," Klum says.

"Younger men train more, and when the clothes come off, it is nice to look at a sexy, ripped body. But I am realistic. I'm turning 40 next year. I don't think I could deal with waking up next to a 25-year-old."

It's official – Bethenny Frankel and Jason Hoppy's marriage is over.

Having announced a separation over the holidays, the reality star began the divorce process by filing earlier this week in New York, TMZ reports.

"It brings me great sadness to say that Jason and I are separating," Frankel, 42, had said in a statement Dec. 23. "This was an extremely difficult decision that as a woman and a mother, I have to accept as the best choice for our family."

The split comes after months of rumors that the pair – who married in 2010 and are parents to daughter Bryn, 2½ – were on the rocks.

"Bethenny is devastated," a friend tells PEOPLE.

Courteney Cox: I'll 'Show My Boobs' on the New Season of Cougar Town

01/04/2013 at 08:00 PM EST

Courteney Cox is taking the term "boob tube" literally.

The Cougar Town star, 48, whose show moves from ABC to TBS on Jan. 8, eagerly anticipates more um, revealing scenes once the program makes its way to the cable network.

"You will not see one scene that I don't show my boobs," Cox joked to reporters Friday at the Television Critics Association winter tour, according to Access Hollywood.

"You know what? I'm getting older, so I've decided at this point I'm taking less focus [on] the face, and focusing here," she added, pointing to her chest. "By the time I'm much older, I will just be absolutely nude. I think it's [going to] work for me, I hope."

The show's executive producer, Bill Lawrence, backed up Cox's comments. "There is one difference [with the show going to cable]," he said Friday. "I think I'm allowed to say … Courteney did declare this the year of her cleavage."

Still, the star isn't exactly baring it all. Although there is an episode themed "naked day" for Cox's character Jules and her on-camera hubby Grayson (Josh Hopkins), there will be no actual nudity on the show.

Gabby Giffords to Meet Privately with Sandy Hook Families

01/04/2013 at 08:00 AM EST

Gabrielle Giffords, the former member of Congress from Arizona who was gunned down at a Tucson shopping center two years ago – and then courageously fought to recover from her injuries – will meet privately Friday with the families of the Sandy Hook school in Newtown, Conn.

The event will be held at a private home and is not open to the public.

Giffords, 42, sharing a Facebook post from her husband, former astronaut Mark Kelly, after the Dec. 14 school shootings, said that the time was now to begin a national dialogue on strengthening gun control. This week, she and Kelly met with New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg, a staunch gun-control proponent, on the issue.

"As we mourn, we must sound a call for our leaders to stand up and do what is right," Kelly said.

"This time our response must consist of more than regret, sorrow, and condolence The children of Sandy Hook Elementary School and all victims of gun violence deserve leaders who have the courage to participate in a meaningful discussion about our gun laws – and how they can be reformed and better enforced to prevent gun violence and death in America. This can no longer wait."

Giffords left Congress in 2012 to focus on her recovery from a gunshot wound to the head. Jared Loughner, who killed six people during a shooting spree and wounded 15 others, was sentenced to life in prison last November.

Brandy: My Proposal Was a 'Spontaneous Thing'

01/03/2013 at 07:30 AM EST

Ryan Press and Brandy

Brandy had no idea that her fiancé Ryan Press had plans to ask for her hand in marriage last week.

Then again, she doesn't think her beau knew he was going to, either.

"It was a spontaneous thing for my fiancé," she said before ringing in the New Year at LAVO Las Vegas "He just felt it."

The R&B singer and former Dancing with the Stars contestant first went public with her romance with music executive Ryan Press on New Year's Eve 2011, cuddling at a Las Vegas party. On Monday, they were back in Vegas, but this time she was sporting a glimmering ring.

Although Brandy, 33, told PEOPLE in March that she let Press know she'd "marry him with a bubble gum ring," the sparkler she did receive has impressed her.

Talk about an odd couple.

Kim Kardashian joins Betty White for the veteran actress's NBC series Betty White's Off Their Rockers – premiering Jan. 8 at 8/7 C – for a hilarious comedy bit.

In the routine, while researching her family tree White, 90, discovers that she and Kardashian, 32, are actually related.

"You know what that means, I'm just one step away from your boyfriend," White declares. "You Kardashians share everything, right?"

But Kardashian is anything but amused. "Back off Betty," she replies, disapprovingly.

"Ooh, a family feud! I just love being a Kardashian," White says with a sly giggle.

Unfortunately not everyone can be in Las Vegas when the ball drops this year, but Eric Prydz is bringing the party to PEOPLE.com readers in advance.

The DJ and producer, 36 – best known for his 2004 hit single, "Call on Me" – is playing a three-hour extended set at Surrender Nightclub on Monday, and he's sharing the tracks he's most excited to spin, including songs from his album, Eric Prydz Presents Pryda.

"I love to play on New Year's Eve because it has that special tension in the air," Prydz says. "People are so excited about the new year coming, leaving the old behind and starting fresh. It's also the perfect excuse to blow off some steam after that long Christmas with family. Let's make New Year's Eve 2013 one to remember!"

Recently scoring a Grammy nomination for his remix of M83's "Midnight City," Prydz, who is relocating to Los Angeles, already predicts 2013 "is going to be an amazing year."

As for his evening playlist, he plans to "blend a lot of the highlights from the past year with classics and brand new music set to blow up in 2013."

Talk about onstage pyrotechnics!

Kanye West dropped a bombshell during an Atlantic City concert on Sunday night, revealing that he and girlfriend Kim Kardashian are expecting a child.

The news of the reality starlet's pregnancy was quickly followed by an outpouring of congratulatory Twitter messages from family members.

"Oh BABY BABY BABY!!" shouts Kim's mom Kris Jenner.

Adds sister Kourtney: "Been wanting to shout from the rooftops with joy and now I can! Another angel to welcome to our family. Overwhelmed with excitement!

Kardashian, 32, and West, 35, went public with their relationship last April, about six months after Kardashian filed for divorce from Kris Humphries. The divorce action is still pending.

During Sunday's concert at Revel Resort's Ovation Hall, West revealed his big news by singing, "Now you having my baby" to the roar from the crowd of 5,000, the Associated Press reports.

West asked concertgoers to congratulate his "baby mom" and called the pregnancy the "most amazing thing."
